Antonio and Carlos!!! It's been almost four months, but I still think about my Cozumel dive trip often. This past week, I met with some of the folks from our dive boat and everyone was still reminiscing about the good times we had. The minute I walked into my hotel room, Antonio called me and made me feel well taken care of. I can't say enough about the instruction provided by Carlos! Carlos, you are a very talented teacher and diver - Kay and I still write back and forth to eachother about the best divemaster in the world! Thank you for at all times making us feel well prepared and safe! I have told friends and family all about the great people at Scubadu Cozumel and I can't wait to come back and dive with you again! Hola to all our friends in Cozumel: It has taken awhile, but I wanted to express thanks to Antonio and all the staff at ScubaDu for making our Thanksgiving trip great. The quality of service and the personal touches that were provided for our large group were excellent. The skills of the dive crews and boat captains were top notch. We were some of those caught out to sea (and under water) during the "freak storm." The skills demonstrated by the captain and the dive master in getting us all safely back on the boat and back to the resort was impressive. It was an extremely difficult situation to exit the water with high surge, heavy rain, heavy wind, and some less than experienced divers in the water. The crew performance was outstanding. On behalf of my entire group, a sincere THANKS for the fine service and the many adjustment and schedule changes, which, when requested, were all accommodated with a smile!

Hola- I have just returned to Maine from a week at the Presidente. What a week! I cannot say enough positive things about your dive instructor, Carlos. After watching the dive boat come and go from the beach for a day or two I decided to take the 2 hour introductory course. Carlos was extremely professional, knowledgable and knew exactly how to train the complete novice diver. I felt totally comfortable in my skills and trusted Carlos with his demonstration of expertise to then go on the 2-tank open ocean dives. The experience was unbelievable-the safety aspect was always present and yet the exhileration and fun that I experienced truly was phenomenal for someone who had never donned a tank before and was now able to swim with sea turtles, sharks and see an abundance of underwater life. Carlos, you have created a new diving fanatic, thank you so much for everything, you are an excellent instructor and a tremendous asset to Scuba-Du. You have an open invitation to dive in Maine should you ever want to swim with the sea urchins and lobsters, and, unfortunately, wear your wetsuit. Saving for my next vacation in Cozumel...

Antonio, Joshua and everyone else who helped us last week: Thanks for the great week of diving!! It was wonderful having a fast boat with experienced divers for most of the dives. This is a key issue for us. Very good boat captains and dive masters, and Joshua was GREAT! Among other things, Joshua hit the entrance to Devil's Throat right on (not all dive masters do) - great dive. We also really appreciate having our equipment cleaned after each dive. Thanks for all! I just wanted to write a short note thanking you for making our trip to Cozumel a fabulous one. The diving was wonderful thanks to ScubaDu. Antonio, the advance e-mails to set up our dives worked out perfectly and we appreciated the other information you gave us to help with our arrival and transportation to the hotel. Everyone in the dive shop was professional, friendly and treated us like family. The dive masters were wonderful and the small groups made diving even more enjoyable. Having Victor take care of our equipment on a daily basis was a godsend. My wetsuit has never smelled so good and it was so nice to have everything cleaned, dry and waiting to be put on the boat in the morning. Greetings Scuba Du, I am writing to thank you for the excellent service we experienced last Tuesday. First, thank you for calling us at home and confirming and re-scheduling. Thank you for picking us up at our hotel pier, saving us two taxi fares. My wife and I were both first time snorkelers and we were a little nervous about the windy conditions. Our dive master Alex put us at ease and we were absolutely thrilled with the experience. My wife and I were impressed with the patience and care Alex and the boat driver(sorry I missed his name)exhibited each time we entered and exited the boat. My wife really appreciated the fact that Alex took the time to point out many interesting creatures that we might have missed along the way.(turtles, barracuda, star fish and a shark) We will definitely be returning to Cozumel and look forward to exploring more of the beautiful reefs with your staff. My recent dive vacation with Scuba Du was outstanding. The dive professionals were highly competent, talented, and helpful. The boats operated smoothly and on time and brought us to wonderfully colorful, clear, and warm water. I had a fantastic experience with Scuba Du last week. I stayed 6 days at the Intercontinental for the sole purpose of taking my Open Water certification class with Scuba Du. From the first contact with Antonio, thru the completion of my course and subsequent dives with Scuba Du, everything was handled with great precision to make my experience wonderful. Antonio is a real class act and was there for me every step of the way. I would especially like to thank and recommend Carlos who was my instructor. He was an excellent teacher, very patient and thorough. Carlos was very adaptive to my abilities and needs which made my training go quickly and very enjoyable. After my certification I had the pleasure of going on a night dive with Dive Master Hector and then a two tank dive with Dive Master Elyxandro. Both did an excellent job and where very patient and safety conscious. I did seven ocean dives total with Scub Du and all where beyond my expectations. Fantastic! The crew on both of the Scuba Du boats were exceptional. They went out of their way to make sure everything was set up before each dive and were always there with a cold drink or fresh piece of fruit when you looked like you might want some. Very hardworking good people on the Scuba Du team. Thank you all for a great experience. I shall return! Antonio, We dove with Scuba Du a few weeks back and had a great time. May 10th thru the 15. The dives, the viz, the staff, the photographer, everything was great. While it was incredibly slow for you and the Presidente, it was surreal and peaceful for those few of us travellers that chose to travel in spite of the ridiculous hysteria. Hola to all of our friends at ScubaDu! We can't thank you enough for making our recent dive trip to Cozumel perfect. From the moment we stepped on the boat for our full week of diving we immediately knew that once again (since this was our third time with ScubaDu), we were diving with the best dive operation on Cozumel. Jose Luis, the other diver masters and crew ensured our equipment was set-up properly and that we were briefed thoroughly on the dive plan for our safety. The dives were fantastic with Jose Luis pointing out even the smallest of sea life with his magnifying glass. Bob met his goal of seeing a nurse shark "up close" just a few feet away. As relatively new divers we really enjoyed celebrating our 50th dive with the ScubaDu crew. We look forward to logging many more dives with ScubaDu on our next vacation. Muchos gracias,

Hello Jorge and Jose Luis. Thanks to all of you at Scuba Du for yet another GREAT diving trip! As you know, we’ve been diving in Cozumel for many years and just returned from our third post-Wilma trip. The diving always was and still is AWSOME! On our last trip, we spotted huge green morays (in full view), eagle rays, sharks, turtles on almost every dive . Life is abundant and the reefs look better each time we visit. There’s simply no place to dive like Cozumel! We just can’t say enough about our great diving adventures with Scuba Du. The staff and service are excellent, making each dive unforgettable! On one occasion, we did have the unfortunate experience of diving with another operation on the island. We were amazed at the deficiency in the quality of service and most importantly , their lack of attention to safety. Actually, we were uncomfortable the entire dive and felt fortunate to get back on dry land when it was over. There’s just no dive operation that can compare to Scuba Du - that’s why we have over 400 dives with them - they’re simply the best on all levels. We’d also like to send a “special thanks” to our great Dive Master, Giovanni ( his help and knowledge is always incredible). Again, thanks for the continued great diving. Well see you all soon!

As a diver with over 500 dives logged I can attest to the professionalism, courtesy and quality of service provide by Scuba Du. From the people at the desk, the dive master and instructors, boat captains and deck hands. My family and I have always been treated like we are important. Safety is there highest priority, however once you have exhibited your dive skills you are allowed to dive your profile without feeling like you are being babysat. On the other hand if you are a little uncomfortable or a new diver you will get the attention you need. I have dove with Scuba Du for eight years on more than a hundred dives, had two of my children certified with them taken advanced open water and nitrox, recommended numerous friends and family to them, none of which have ever been disappointed. - Jesus – Dive Master. Great diver, great eye for small creatures and most importantly very engaged and focused on safety, without being overbearing. We’ve got over 300 dives. We appreciate his professionalism. It made a difference. When we come back, we’ll request to dive with him again.
- Victor – Equipment Storage and Maintenance. We’ve been coming to the Presidenti for years and diving with Scuba Du. Victor has always taken care of our gear. He’s focused, thoughtful and is all about customer service. I want to make sure you know that when we talk about diving with you, we always mention Victor. He really puts the experience over the top.

I will keep this as brief as possible, but I wanted you to know about my trip to Cozumel in June 2008. It was very nice to see you and I enjoyed diving with your organization, my views are as follows:
I have been to Cozumel about six times in the past years and this year was the best experience of all.
The Scuba Du staff is as strong as I have ever see it. You have some Stars, Alex is a solid Dive Master, Giovanni is a Professional, and Sandra is a SUPER STAR !
I was so impressed with Sandra: I am going to take the advanced Diver Course on my Return in the Spring of 2009. She was my instructor in the Nitrox Course and she demonstrated a concern that I learn the process. She also taught me more basic Scuba procedures. She is a definite asset for Scuba Du. Sandra is a young Jose Luis.... need I say more....
The fleet is well run and the boats are clean and efficient, the Captains and Crew are well trained and extremely helpful and professional. You have the process of Planning and Executing a Dive Trip down to a fine science.
As I have told you many times, I am so comfortable diving with Scuba Du ----- I don’t want to dive anywhere else.
One question: When we get our tanks they have 2900 lbs or 3000 lbs, is it possible to get 3100 or 3150 or 3200? That was a question on the boat...

I know that isn't something you need as a business owner, but I would happily pay more than your competitors to dive with a group of 6 people or less. We have both received our C-cards. We had a wonderful time diving with you guys. Erick was a great instructor. Very easy going, easy to understand, and nice to work with. The boat was nice and Edwardo and the crew were great and fun to dive with. There was a bit of confusion over some of the pricing and paperwork but it all worked out and prices seemed reasonable and competitive.
Overall, it was a great experience.
The only suggestion for improvement would be to update the WEB page and improve the e-mail contact capabilities so that people could see that you guys are still around, operating, and what services you have to offer.

Nice to hear from you. I was at the Peter's home last night for some margaritas made from the tequila we brought back with us from Mexico. The temperature here today will reach 105 degrees Fahrenheit! We're not used to this kind of heat!
I really don't have any suggestions for improvement for you or Scuba Du. This was my fourth time using you and was once again very impressed! I think the needs of our group became a little challenging at times, but you and your dive masters worked hard to meet our needs and help us have a great experience. I feel a little guilty for the trips you had to make to come to meet our needs. I will enjoy telling anyone planning to dive in Cozumel they will be making a big mistake if they don't use Scuba Du.
Please let me know when the Fiesta Americana is open and ready for guests.

I would be delighted to comment on our long time great experiences with SCUBA-DU.
Over the past few years my family and I have enjoyed our experiences with Scuba-Du in Cozumel, Mexico. Everyone has been very kind, considerate, and helpful when we have been on our diving and snorkeling vacations. We have had experiences with 4 different dive masters with Scuba-Du over the years, and because of their expertise and displayed professionalism our family felt safe which made our dives very interesting and fun. The entire crew gave us the impression we were welcome and that they genuinely cared about us. The boat Captains and crew were always there to help us and care for our needs and most of all our safety. All of our communications were clear and divers were thoroughly briefed so that there was no question about what we were doing. Our reservations were always handled in a professional way. We were given the feeling that as tourists from the USA we were very much appreciated. As a result, we have been on a few cruise ship visits to Cozumel, and always dive with Scuba-Du. We have been proud to bring other divers from the ships to join us and they too enjoyed a great dive experience. I am an over 70 years of age PADI diver, with 2 Grandsons and a Son-in-Law who all loves to dive. I have one more Grandson that is 11 and can't wait to dive with his Grandfather, Father and Brothers. Hopefully, I can be around long enough and healthy enough to dive with him at Scubu-Du because you make it fun and safe.

I've been diving all over the world for 11 years and have hundreds of dives in exotic locations in my log, but my favourite place to smile and sit in the sun is on a Scuba Du diveboat surrounded by the boat captains, mates and fabulous divemasters led by Jorge de la Fuente who have welcomed me back for so many years with open arms and the words "Hola, Dianita, Bienvenidos". When I hear those words I know it's only a matter of time before we jump into the clear blue waters that I love so much, secure in the knowledge that I am safe and sound when one of their divemasters is leading the dives and the Scuba Du boat will always be there when we surface. This is not a dive operation, this is a special family of friends to dive with and it doesn't get any better than this.

Siempre en grupos reducidos y bien cuidados. Es muy grato que hoy asi como en ese entonces, y ya hace algunas cuantas inmersiones despues, el siempre encontrar en sus servicio el compromiso de servicio, calidad y sobre todo a ese que ya es un grupo de buenos amigos que hacen siempre de cada inmersion una experiencia diferente y divertida. I just wanted to pass along a BIG thank you for giving me the best Dive experience I've ever had during our time in Cozumel last week. Six of us from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Minnesota area spent 4 days with Geovani and Erick. I'm almost positive without those 2 individuals assisting our group, our experience would not have been as fulfilling! They were very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. Similarly, our boat captain (Pocko?) deserves a huge part of that thanks as well !
I know whenever we return to Cozumel, our first phone call will be to your Dive Shop, and I will recommend the same to all my friends and family! Thanks again. Hope to see you again in the near future.

We have been scuba diving for 15 years. Our experiences with many other dive operations throughout the Caribbean and in Cozumel have taught us what to
look for in an excellent dive operation. We have found Scuba Du fits all the criteria we seek. Safety is of utmost importance and they make that a priority. Their boats are well designed, clean and well maintained. Scuba Du's staff, from the front desk personel to the divemasters and boat captains are friendly and very competent. They are knowlegable and attentive and make diving fun. We wouldn't dive with any other company when in Cozumel.

While searching extensively on the internet for the best dive shop not only to suit my amateur needs but my girlfriends professional standards, I discovered Scuba Du. After sending out several e-mails for information, one place clearly stood above the rest. Following the lightning quick responses to all my questions and very reasonable pricing we decided to hire Scuba Du. The second we set foot into the Fiesta Americana lobby we were greeted by a welcoming handshake and smile by . We filled out our paperwork and were told the boat was waiting just across the street and ready to take us on our first adventure. A nice smile and a firm handshake from Edwin(divemaster) and Choco(captain) put all my jitters at ease. My girlfriend has logged over 400 dives and says she has yet to meet a divemaster as ready and eager to help with everything as Edwin is. We dove 8 times including 2 night dives with Scuba Du and we were extremely happy with absolutely everything. Scuba Du has the nicest boats and the best crews working for them. Not only did Edwin take care of everything for us, he also did a great pre-brief of each dive and procedures during and after( a very welcomed sight for a guy with as much aviation background as I have). At the top of the ladder we always had someone there ready to help us and our equipment into the boat. Fresh cut fruit and sea monster stories awaited us as we whisked away to our next dive site. I would highly recommend Scuba Du, and if your lucky enough to get Edwin and Choco as your guides you certainly will enjoy your diving experience second to none. We definately plan on going back to Cozumel, and the Scuba Du family will be our guides.

My wife June and I are back home now and I would like to take the time to personally thank everyone at Scuba Du who contributed to the success of our visit to Cozumel. The entire experience from the pickup at the port through to the excellent instruction my wife received onboard the boat and underwater was very good. Despite her being quite nervous about "the test", she was very pleased with everything and of course was thrilled to receive her card as a reward.
My exploration dive was very enjoyable and I look forward to being able to bring my new dive buddy back to Cozumel some time in the future. You may be confident that I will be letting everyone in our dive club know how well your organization treated us. I hope that restoration work on your land-based facilities proceeds quickly so you can get back to full operation as soon as possible.

Just wanted to tell you that Barbara & I had a great 3 days of diving with ScubaDu...We especially want the thank "Giovanni" for taking such good care of my wife & myself...As you know I could not get a locker at the Fiesta Americana...Giovanni was good enough to care & clean the gear on a daily basis...similar to the care it was given when the El Presidente was open.

We really had a terrific time on our recent trip to Cozumel. I'm very happy to see that the island is coming back quickly from the storms. Kurt and I were so glad to see Giovanni. We have been diving with him on prior trips and really enjoy having him as our dive master. His service was outstanding. He's great to dive with and went above and beyond in storing our equipment and even cleaning and packing it for us.
Many thanks to Scubadu and especially Giovanni for making our trip a great one. We will be sure to ask for him next time we visit.

I really don't have any suggestions for improvement for you or Scuba Du. This was my fourth time using you and was once again very impressed! I think the needs of our group became a little challenging at times, but you and your dive masters worked hard to meet our needs and help us have a great experience. I feel a little guilty for the trips you had to make to come to meet our needs. I will enjoy telling anyone planning to dive in Cozumel they will be making a big mistake if they don't use Scuba Du.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to dive with your company. All of us had a fabulous time. We truly enjoyed each and every one of your Dive Masters, captains, etc. One of the things that we really liked was the small groups. I know that isn't something you need as a business owner, but I would happily pay more than your competitors to dive with a group of 6 people or less. It was much more personal and fun than diving with a group of 20 or more. We are already planning to return next June (and sooner if we can). I can't wait to see your new shop at the Presidente.

My family and I dove with SCUBA DU in 2001 and when we went back in 2006, we didnt have to think twice regarding which dive operator we would use...
We were worried the devastation hurricane Wilma caused would not allow us to dive with SCUBA DU, however despite not having their location at the El Presidente resort, they came to our villa to make diving arrangements. SCUBA DU has friendly, courteous staff; spacious boats; and well-maintained rental equipment. Before each dive, the divemasters reviewed underwater hand-signals and safety procedures. They were very knowledgeable about the dive sites and the local sea life, which helped make every dive more spectacular.
