FELIPE XICOTENCATL

The C-53 was sunken on June 5th, 2000 with the purpose of creating an artificial reef for scuba divers in Cozumel. The wreck is located about two miles south of the Presidente at 80ft, and our boats can take you there in 15 min. We usually depart in the afternoon, so the divers who went on our morning dives will have plenty of surface time.

After been sunken for 21 years, the wreck serves as a shelter for amazing and beautiful diversity of sponges and fish, including schools of glassy sweepers, grunts and lobsters. It is strongly recommended that divers wear protection suits and gloves. It is required that each diver brings a light.
